Four Days of Fun

Sessions Led by Local Teachers

Step back in time at History Camp! This four-day summer program is open to students entering grades 4–8 and features hands-on activities, historic crafts, games, and local tours that bring our county’s past to life.

Monday June 8

9:00 – Museum Front Entry: Check in

Pass out t-shirts and name tags

Kids start decorating lunch boxes

9:15 – Meeting Room: presentation on Huntresses

9:45 – snack - popsicles

10:00 – Activity – log cabin

10:50 – Wrap up and wait for pick up at museum

 

Tuesday June 9

9:00 – Apollo Tower Meeting Room: Check in

Kids grab name tags

9:10 – Meeting Room: presentation on Huntress Park creation and improvements

pools, park, etc.

9:50 – Head to Huntress Park

10:00 – snack – gummy worms, gummy sharks, swedish fish, goldfish, etc.

10:10 – Activity – photo investigation/comparison then to now

10:50 – Wrap up and pick up at park

 

Wednesday June 10

9:00 – Apollo Tower Meeting Room: Check in

Kids grab name tags

9:10 – Meeting Room: presentation on Chautauqua

9:50 – Head to Huntress Park

10:00 – Snack – kids “buy” snacks

10:10 – Chautauqua reenactment

10:50 – Wrap up and pick up at park

 

Thursday June 11

9:00 – Apollo Tower Meeting Room: Check in

Kids grab name tags

9:10 – Head to Huntress Park

9:20 – Activities/Games

slip n’ slide kick ball

baseball in the pool

10:00 – snack/boxed lunch – chicken strips & apples

10:10 – Activities/games

10:50 – wrap up and pick up at park
