It's been a long and wonderful 5 years that we've been in our new building. We've had several ups and downs, stumbling blocks and successes, and we are incredibly proud of where we are currently and where we are headed.
And now we really need your help. We currently have several issues with our museum building and storage. Our roof is needing repaired. We have several storage areas without proper lighting and a lack of archival safe storage supplies for our collections. Our computers are all 5 years old or older and we've already had 2 die on us this past year. Our buildings out on Heritage Row, the historic buildings by the high school baseball diamond, are also in dire need of maintenance. A more complete list of our needs is located above. We have plans on how to correct each of these issues, however we lack the funding to accomplish them on our own.
You can help us change that. Your support is crucial to our efforts to continue preserving the history of our wonderful county. If you have any questions please feel free to call us at (785) 632-3786 or stop by the Museum. We are also more than happy to provide behind-the-scenes tours for anyone wanting to see where their money is going.
Below are links to our annual Business and Personal Membership forms if you would like fill it out and mail it to us along with your donation. You don't have to fill out the membership form in order to donate, any general donation is always appreciated.
