About the event

The Clay County Historical Society and Museum will open two new exhibits during Piotique this year. A permanent exhibit, Coats of the Prairie, Real Fur, Real Facts, Real Fun, is an interactive animal fur exhibit. You will be able to touch the fur and then learn about the animal that wore that fur coat.

Stars, Rainbows and Swords, Oh My! It is a rotating display showcasing the Masonic organizations of Eastern Star, Rainbow for Girls, Masons, and other affiliated organizations, nationwide and from Clay County, Kansas.

Want to see the exhibits, but you are busy on Piotique day? You are invited to sneak peeks of both exhibits on Wednesday evening, September 24th, 6-8 pm, and Friday afternoon, September 26th, 2-5 pm. Bring a friend, enjoy the exhibits, and then sit and enjoy punch and cookies in the museum meeting room.
